Hating your body is learned behavior

There is not a single woman* in my life that hasn’t doubted, disliked, or wished for another body at some point in their life. And no wonder: We’re constantly bombarded with images of the “perfect” and “ideal” body from big news outlets, ads in magazines and around cities, in edited social media pictures… and they all seem to convey the same message: that the viewer is not good enough the way they are.

With this illustration, I want to remind consumers that hating, just like loving one’s body is learned behavior. And yes, unlearning the hate we’ve been living with for probably most of our lives, isn’t easy. But it’s definitely worth it.
