Illustration Protest against Abortion Bans

2021 was a year of many ups and downs. One of the many setbacks, all over the world, but especially in Poland and the USA (Texas), was the ban on abortions. Texas even went so far as to criminalise abortions after only 6 weeks – a period so short that for the pregnant person the period is merely “2 weeks late” and often goes unnoticed. Those who turned in pregnant people who were planning an abortion were even promised prize money of more than 10k dollars.

With this illustration, I have made a stand against this development, the encroachment on autonomy and freedom in relation to one’s own body, and the monopoly of white, older, conservative cis men.
