Illustrations for the Social Media Campaign of lightup Germany

Every day, girls and young women are driven into forced prostitution – including here in Germany. Often this happens through the “lover boy scam”, where the so-called “loverboys” pretend to be in love with girls and young women in order to sexually exploit them for their own financial gain. Which is a form of human trafficking.

To raise awareness of the manipulative scam of loverboys and thus protect against emotional and sexual exploitation, the NGO lightup Germany launched a 4-week social media awareness campaign in April 2022. The aim was to educate and sensitize young people in particular so that they are warned of this danger and can protect themselves from it.

I created two illustrations for this campaign: “Protect your peace” and “Self love is the greatest middle finger of all time.“
